Take Marcal - who advocates how you are "saving trees" by buying their recycled paper. Great - recycled toilet paper...definitely a show-stopper and game-changer in the tree saving world. What you don't know, or may know but no company trying to use the "green" fad to get your business will emphasize, is a little industry called "tree farms."
If you buy non-recycled toilet paper no woodland creature is going to become homeless and instead, you will probably enjoy your wiping experience more.
In fact, it almost makes more sense to support the tree farms seeing as the U.S. has dramatically killed off their manufacturing/production industry in light of service companies.
A large majority of our paper products come, in fact, from tree farms - or fields and fields of trees planted for the sole purpose of being turned into paper. So tsk tsk Marcal and others, stop trying to guilt us into using less comfortable, higher priced paper products by telling us we are "saving trees."
